Term Contract for EMS Pharmaceuticals

Description
Seeking a variety of medications to be used by Seminole County Fire Department & EMS Operations. The items listed in this bid will be used for this purpose and the list is not inclusive of all medications that the County may need. County may purchase and substitute medications on a case-by-case basis as part of the agreement and the price will be based on agreeable commitment between the Fire Department and the Vendor. The Vendor(s) must accept orders and ship directly to the Seminole County Fire Department 203 Valentine Way, Longwood, FL 32750 to include orders for "controlled" pharmaceuticals and these pharmaceuticals will be shipped according to current DEA guidelines. The Vendor(s) must ship all pharmaceuticals with an expiration date established by the manufacturer of at least twelve (12) months from the delivery date. The Vendor(s) must provide clear and concise records for delivery, receipt and tracking of all medications that comply with all Federal, State, Local and County laws, regulations, policies and procedures. medication labeling shall be clear for understanding by non-medical personnel. The Vendor(s) must guarantee that all products offered and awarded under this contract will have applicable FDA approval for distribution. All products must have at minimum, a label containing a product expiration date and a product lot number. Following contract award, alteration in product formulation or fabrication, delivery of a substitute commodity, or changes in packaging requires prior written approval of the Seminole County Fire Department representative or the County Purchasing and Contracts Division. County may unilaterally add or delete, without a formal amendment to this agreement, additional products, substitutes, product number or name changes, and price adjustments that are supported by quotes or manufacturers notice. DELIVERY: Delivery time is of the essence in the award of this Invitation for Bid. Delivery shall be no more later than twenty-four hours from receipt of delivery order for all items except IV fluids which shall be no later than three (3) business days. Bids submitted which fail to meet this requirement may be cause for rejection. It is hereby understood and mutually agreed to by and between parties hereto that the time of delivery is an essential condition of this contract. Seminole County reserves the right to order from a secondary vendor when the supplies from awarded vendor(s) are on backorder. Backorder status notification must be reported to the County within twenty-four (24) hours of original contract. Continued failure to deliver items within the specified time frame may result in the cancellation of this agreement.
