Traffic Software for Analytics, Crash Data and Reporting
smcgov / Sheriff's Office
Description
The County of San Mateo is seeking quotations for Traffic Software for Analytics, Crash Data and Reporting for one of the contract cities within the Sheriff's Office Jurisdiction. The software would need to provide comprehensive collision analytics and traffic data management platform designed to support data-driven traffic safety initiatives, enforcement strategies, and grant reporting requirements. The system enables agencies to collect, analyze, and visualize collision and traffic-related data in a centralized platform, allowing staff to identify trends, high-collision locations, contributing factors, and areas of concern within the jurisdiction. A key component of the proposed solution is its ability to integrate with the Sheriff’s Office Sun Ridge Systems (RIMS). The software also supports streamlined tracking and reporting for Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) grant requirements for collision statistics. The platform offers customizable dashboards, mapping capabilities, and reporting tools that assist command staff, traffic units, and analysts in developing targeted enforcement and education strategies. By consolidating collision data, enforcement activity, and grant reporting into a single system, the solution enhances operational efficiency, improves data accessibility, and supports the agency’s overall traffic safety goals. The proposed software solution must provide the capability to efficiently share collision and traffic-related data with the Public Works Department to support collaborative traffic safety planning, roadway improvements, and infrastructure projects. The system should allow for easy export, reporting, and visualization of collision data, including location mapping, trend analysis, and contributing factors, in formats accessible to non-law enforcement partners. The software should support interdepartmental coordination by enabling timely access to accurate data that can assist Public Works staff in identifying roadway concerns, evaluating traffic calming measures, prioritizing capital improvement projects, and responding to community traffic safety concerns. The ability to share consistent and reliable data across departments will improve communication, support data-driven decision making, and enhance overall public safety efforts within the jurisdiction. "Please complete the Pricing Bid Table in section 3 and please also upload your competitive quotation including accurate lead times as well as any applicable freight and delivery costs for the items listed." Cost, conformity to specifications of goods, and product availability will be considered. After an evaluation of all quotations, a County purchase order is expected to be issued in association with the lowest, responsive bid received from a qualified, responsible, and manufacturer/publisher authorized vendor.
