5th Street Utility Replacement- Phase III

Description
The project includes the installation of 1175 feet of 24” raw water main and 900 feet of 16” domestic water main from the intersection of 5th Street between Jackson Street and the Park Avenue entrance to the College Hill water treatment plant. In addition a minor amount of sanitary sewer and storm sewer repairs will be made in the same corridor. Following installation of the below grade utilities, streetscaping, including pavement, sidewalks, crosswalks, and other features will be installed on 5th Street between Jackson Street and Taylor Street. There are two options that will be priced on the Bid Schedule for this project: 1) Base Bid includes full closure of 5th Street and a 14-month construction schedule 2) Alternate #1 includes maintaining one lane of traffic through the project area and a 16-month construction schedule
