Description

Industry Day Announcement The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk will hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference (Industry Day) to solicit ideas and information on the most cost effective method to contract for Instructor support services capable of meeting the Government’s demand for training requirements. The purpose of the Industry Day is to gather market research for FLC Norfolk to make decisions regarding the acquisition strategy for Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR). Background Information: This requirement is for qualified Instructors in support of Expeditionary Combat Skills (ECS) course convenings delivered in Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Gulfport, Mississippi. This training is provided for all Prospective Gain (PG) personnel transferring to Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) operational units, prior to reporting to Ultimate Duty Station (ULDUSTA). This training is also provided to Sailors assigned to Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Combat Support/Combat Service Support Type II or IV (deployable) duty. ECS course convenes weekly with an optimum class size of 63 students; typically 47-48 convenings are scheduled per fiscal year. ECS is 26 training days in duration. FLC Norfolk is holding an industry day to solicit information, and share ideas how to reduce risk of providing qualified instructors at the various training locations. The purpose of the event is to inform industry of program requirements, anticipated acquisition strategy, competition timeline, and to provide a networking opportunity. For additional information, a copy of the draft Performance Work Statement is included as Attachment I. Registration Details: The one-day conference will be held in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach region in Virginia, specific location will be determined and posted as a modification to this announcement, on June 21, 2017 from 9:00 AM to approximately 2:00 PM ET. This Industry day will include two sessions with a break in between. The first session will discuss the Instructor East and West Region requirement and the second session will discuss the Expeditionary Combat Skills requirement. Attendees are free to attend either or both of the sessions. All registrations to attend the conference must be sent to Chelsey Stewart at chelsey.stewart@navy.mil NLT 3:00 PM on June 14, 2017.
