Description

The requirement has changed from 60 to 40 long tons. See the revised description: The solicitation will solicit offers from contractors for the purpose of procuring two ship-to-shore container cranes, on Pier 2, at Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO) located at Concord, California to accommodate containerized operations. The two new rail-mounted Ship-to-Shore Container Cranes will each have a capacity of 40 long tons below the spreader and will be able to reach 13 containers across of transporting marine vessels. The crane will provide a minimum spreader lift of 100 feet above the dock level and a minimum of 35 feet below the dock level into the transport vessels. The cranes shall be equipped with a cargo beam and (3) mechanized spreaders capable of lifting twin 20 foot (6.1 m) containers and single 20 foot and 40 foot containers. The cranes shall be designed, fabricated, assembled, facility tested, delivered, installed, field inspected and tested, and made ready for use in accordance with the contract specification.
